Our Story
The Friendship Music & Arts Festival was born in 2013 near Friendship Road in a back yard on Lake Lanier by a close-knit group of friends that valued friendship and philanthropic purpose. The Friendship Festival name developed naturally as all of the artists that performed were friends or friends of friends. Additionally, as the festival grew and we required help from many different types of expertise to make our annual event bigger and better. It was without question, there was always a good friend willing to contribute their precious time to make this event better than the prior year.
Traditionally, FMF has always been an invite only event and friends that had previously attended were encouraged to invite new friends that they believed would enjoy the festival and help contribute to the progress of the vibe that is naturally created through positive, thoughtful and kind human beings. We pledge to work very hard to continue forward with this mindful sense of looking after one another and our mother Earth.
After applying for a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Friendship United, Inc.) to fuel our mission we seek to educate and inform the general public about the importance of our vital natural resources and the dangers that currently put these resources at risk. To help achieve these goals, we will encourage membership from the general public to team up and work with the current members of the non-profit organization titled Friendship United, Inc. As a member of Friendship United, we will work together in order to spread our message of vital natural resource awareness and increase our positive impact within our communities by contributing time and donations to this great cause.
Let’s celebrate our friendship with great live music, art and lots of activities!
